At Home With Thermador

So, in case I don’t have enough going on between the baby and writing a book, we have officially sold our house and have begun plans for building our new one! While we’re very much in the beginning stages of figuring out our plans and finding design inspiration, I have a few clear ideas about what I definitely want to have in this new house.

My “must-have” list for the new house includes Thermador appliances. We have them in our current house and I absolutely love them, how great they look and how easy each unit is to use, too! (Details on each below.) I couldn’t imagine having a kitchen without Thermador appliances, which are truly the best of the best.

I’m thrilled to announce that I’m partnering with them for a unique one-night event in Toronto.

Join me for an exclusive Ask a Designer Night at Luxe Appliance Studio (334 King Street East in Toronto), where you can have your design dilemmas solved in one-on-one consultations with interior designers and get a chance to demo Thermador, Bosch, and Gaggenau appliances on Thursday, March 22, from 6:00 – 9:00 PM. Cityline design experts Jackie Glass and Shai Deluca will be joining me at the event. They’ll be running 10-minute one-on-one consultations to answer any and all of your design-related questions. So fun!

Luxe Appliance Studio is a Toronto-based interactive showroom and event space that houses Bosch, Thermador, and Gaggenau appliances. It’s going to be a great evening! If you are interested in joining us, please send your name with the subject line “Ask a Designer Night” to Spaces are limited so make sure you reserve your spot as soon as possible. I look forward to seeing you there!

Our dishwasher, the Sapphire® 6-Program, has three racks and flexible folding tines, which gives us the ability to modify the space to fit larger or smaller pots, pans, and dishes as necessary. With our growing family, this feature is so helpful.

Our range oven is a steam and convection combination oven. We chose to go with the 48-inch Professional Series Pro Grand Commercial Depth Dual Fuel Steam Range. Troy and I love the fact that it’s large enough to fit a caterer’s full-size sheet pan. It also has a warming drawer and it’s unbelievably easy to clean. It’s an absolute dream for the moments when we host our family for the holidays or invite friends over for an impromptu dinner!

We also have a Thermador drink/wine fridge, which I couldn’t live without. The wine column features UV glass and is equipped with two different zones to maintain the optimum temperatures for your beverages. In our space the best fit for us was the 24” built-in wine preservation column. It looks and feels luxurious, a definite eye-catcher when guests walk into our butler’s pantry.
