DIY Advent-Style Olive Branch Wreath

Olive wreath with drinks and coasters

What’s there not to love about fresh greenery at home around the holidays? I’m loving everything from fresh cedar garlands to muted toned olive branches! I’ve had my eye on olive branches, from using them to make wreaths to adding sprigs to place cards or tucking them into gift tags. It’s such a simple yet beautiful touch. I made sure to head on over to Etsy to see if I could find a few things here and there to add unique elements to my holiday decor, including all the supplies needed to make a gorgeous DIY advent wreath for your table!

We were inspired by the Scandinavian advent-style wreaths we found on Pinterest. Plus, we found these delicate vintage brass candle clips, which paired perfectly with the olive branches!

I absolutely love the idea of finding more personal, unique gifts for family and friends. I like the idea of finding a delicate initial necklace and pairing them with a set of monogrammed coasters. They’re perfect to pair with antique holiday pieces (like the brass candle clips) and finish it all off with a velvet ribbon. Etsy, you never disappoint!

Carefully attach fresh olive branches to a simple metal hoop using floral wire. We added a couple layers to make the wreath look full and tucked in a couple sprigs of juniper for a festive touch.

We found these sweet antique ornaments and dressed them up with velvet ribbon. (By the way, I order all my ribbon from Shy Myrtle on Etsy.) They would look lovely on the top of a wrapped package or to give away on their own. Giving ornaments is one of my favorite traditions with friends and family.

With so many holiday parties and gatherings, it’s always nice to bring a thoughtful hostess gift. We love everything monogrammed and could not pass up these coasters. You can, of course, order them with your initial of choice.

A pretty oversized initial necklace would be a wonderful keepsake for a dear friend or family member. I often order monographed necklaces for my mom friends. It’s so sweet to have your child(ren)’s initials around your neck, close to your heart. They are always appreciated!

Hope this gives you a little inspiration as you pick out gifts for your loved ones this year. Etsy is always our team go-to! The options are absolutely endless!
