Four fall activities to do this weekend

Need a couple ideas of what to do on this crisp fall weekend? Whether it’s raining outside or the sun is shining with a crispness in the air, we’ve rounded up our four fall activities to do over the weekend. That being said, once Halloween is over, we’re fairly certain that Christmas will be on our minds so if you haven’t added those harvest decorative touches to your space yet, don’t worry! A little can go a long way in bringing that cozy fall feel into your home! Here’s what we recommend:

Decorate Your Mantle

I love setting up a fall mantelpiece. And really all you need is one small pumpkin and muted greenery like eucalyptus and you’re set! Perhaps add a candle or two. Absolute perfection! We recommend sticking to odd numbers and either flooding your space or just adding a small touch. Both options look great! I’m really into the flooded look right now, especially when it comes to pumpkins!

Find Heirloom Pumpkins

You might be seeing these types of pumpkins more than before! They are a really fun trend over the last couple of seasons. The shapes, textures and muted colors make them super easy to decorate with and work in any space! From modern to traditional, these full-of-character pumpkins will not disappoint. No matter which variety you prefer, they’re a fun twist on using the classic orange pumpkin for your front porch or mantle.

Visit An Apple Orchard

Everyone should be checking this one off their fall bucket list! Enjoy the crisp fresh air while partaking in this classic autumn activity! It’s a perfect way to make special memories with your family. Not sure where to venture off to? There are a ton of amazing apple orchards all across the country. Google a few and check out their Instagram accounts for the photos they have uploaded or perhaps others have geotagged. Round up the fam, pick out some cute matching outfits, and capture it all to look back on for years to come! Trust me: You’ll regret it if you don’t!

Treat Yourself

Ahh, yes! Isn’t this what it’s all about? Those cozy comfort food moments! Use your freshly picked apples to make the prettiest pie.  Don’t be scared to be creative: the top of that pie has endless decorative possibilities!  (We can’t wait to make another soon!) Or give our pumpkin hot chocolate recipe a try.  Both treats can be delicious and pretty all at the same time!
