DIY Photo Gift Tags

The time has come to start getting those gifts wrapped! I love the added attention to detail when wrapping my gifts. This year I wanted to do something really special and memorable. Instead of purchasing typical gift tags I thought it would be fun to switch it up a bit. Through out the year I’m pretty intentional to take photos of not only the five of us, but also other members of our family. I thought printing these photos out in black in white would make a great gift tag idea.

I’m not sure about you, but I take so many ( so many!) photos but hardly have them printed anymore. I feel like not only do we not print them, but most of us don’t actually take photos without intention anymore. A quick snap here, a quick snap there x10000! Being conscious of that, I started a personal Instagram account that I purposely capture moments of our family. Including our cousins, grandparents auntie and uncles and friends.  Creating and capturing those nostalgic moments that I can look back on for the years to come. I now take so many gorgeous photos of family members that I treasure.

Photos can evoke such special memories, bring a smile to your face and warm your heart of a past memory. This DIY could not get any easier. All you need is some great photos, pretty ribbon, wrapping paper and you’re set.

I selecting photos from the past year to print as gift tags for our Christmas gifts. Printing them all in black and white, in smaller sizes such as wallet, 2×3’s or the really fun retro border prints in 4×6, I loved how these looked. All these printing options are available at Walmart. It’s easy to pop online order your prints, select which style (lots of editing options as well ) and at a great price to point.  Head over and pick up your order when ready or have them delivered to your home, so simple! I actually ended up printing doubles of everything so I can pop it into an album or even frames some too.

How fun right? Instead of writing the recipients name on a tag, why not print a photo you took of them instead. The photos that I used below for my tags are the photographs I took over the course of 2018. Your gift giving will be full of sentiments and touches of nostalgia. They will love it!

Supplies
2×3 prints from Walmart
Wallet Prints from Walmart
4×6 prints with retro border in white From Walmart
Scissors
Single hole punch
Ribbon- ShyMyrtle
White wrapping paper
Tape
Pen
Small ornaments
Fresh pine, ecupalupts or small festive greenery for a festive touch.

If using the 2×3’s or the wallet simply cut out the photos, punch a hole at the top middle of the photo and string the ribbon through the hole. For some of the larger photos and with larger ribbon and boxes we tuck them under the ribbon. Adding a sprig of fresh pine and winter greens is the perfect finishing touch.

We know that anyone that will receive a gift with these thoughtful photo tags is sure to be touched, it’d a creative way to share memories and which also acts as a keepsake.

Thank you for Walmart for sponsoring this post. The DIY and post was our idea, comments and opinions are also our own.
