Fall is fast approaching and it’s time to start thinking of key pieces to transition your wardrobe into the cozier months ahead. While I’m not quite ready for the sun to go away and there are still plenty of warm days to come, I like to start blending summer favourites with some cozy fall options into my closet.

One way I like to do this is adding lighter cream and neutral pieces like this knit cardigan or these corduroy pants into my wardrobe. Neutrals are timeless and they can make you feel put together in a pinch, plus they help bridge the gap between airy summer colours and moodier fall tones.

Talking about knits, let’s talk about this light blue knit tank, I fell in love with it the moment I saw it!  Again, it is a great addition to your transitioning wardrobe. You can easily throw a cardigan or blazer over it for cooler days and take off layers for those unexpectedly warm fall days.

Staples like classic booties are still popular and choosing them in a lighter tone works well with cropped jean or skirts and summer dresses. These loafers are definitely trending this season. Worn correctly, they give you a polished look with just a touch of edge, think Diane Keaton streetwear.

Have you seen these gorgeous tortoiseshell sunglasses from Amazon yet? Their fun cateye shape is the perfect way to add some style and sass this fall. I love trying new sunglasses styles and colours since they’re relatively inexpensive so you can go a little bolder and try something new (without the worry of accidentally misplacing them too!). New season, new bag? Or perhaps adding a new one to my wish list or even Christmas list. This beautiful taupe saddle bag from Chloé is a splurge.  But the style has been part of their collection for years and there is something about this new color combo that I love, it’s sure to be a well-loved addition for years to come. To keep your purse clean and organized, grab a few makeup bags in muted colours to match. These ones from Cuyana have been a favourite of mine for so long, they are so beautiful and you can have them monogramed too. On that note, it’s time to replace mine after seven years! Yes, it’s that good!

And of course, you can never go wrong with a flirty striped shirt that pairs perfectly with a your favourite jeans. Style with simple gold jewelry as the final touch to your outfit; go with a classic link bracelet and simple hoop earrings and you’re all set!
