Hey September, is it you again?! To be frank, this used to be a month I never looked forward to, it’s always hard to say goodbye to summer and I never quite wanted it to end. This year, on the other hand… I’m happy to welcome the changing of the season and the return of routines as our lives fall back into the rhythm of school and work.  The kids are looking forward to being back in classes, even our little Blake is starting pre-school.  He’s so excited and has been carrying his lunch kit around the house for the past few weeks!

As September brings summer to and end, I’m putting my focus on a well balanced schedule, starting up my fitness routine again (summer really knows how to throw that off), and enjoying family structure with school, work, activities and everything in between. I’m even thinking about cleaning up my garden and planting a few fall veggies to grown for these last couple months, before the first frost invites itself in.  I think I’m going to find it hardest to let go of my daily garden routine the most. Well, let’s not think about that quite yet and enjoy this beautiful summer into fall transition.

It reminds us how quickly the seasons change and it perfectly embodies the time between late August and early September where the evenings start to cool down, the leaves start to dry, and we break out our cozy sweaters again.
