Trending for Fall

Transitioning your wardrobe into fall is as simple as mixing together a few pieces you love from your summer wear and pairing them with fall essentials. Fall is already such a busy time of the year; with the kids back in school and lots of extra activities going on, I like to blend functional wear with elevated classics that will last me through the season.

Once again, I can’t get enough of the soft browns, caramels, and creamy whites that are in for fall. The colours naturally lend themselves to a cooler season, and they pair perfectly with other neutrals for effortless layering. Having a  cable-knit cardigan or embroidered sweater in one of these colours is also a great way to add texture and detail to your look. For a casual but elegant outfit, pair this accented caramel stripe cardigan with your favourite jeans and tee.

For days on the go, I love throwing on comfy sneakers and a hat. This muted sage green hat is such a beautiful colour, and perfect for days when the dry shampoo just won’t cut it. Add a trendy faux-fur puffer vest overtop for warmth and style.

I like to wear dresses through the fall, and tend to reach for below the knee dresses with a long sleeve that I can wear with booties and a jean jacket if the mornings are cold. The soft rose and cream pattern of this dress make it ideal for keeping it casual in the day or dressing up in the evening with a jacket.

To freshen up my fall makeup and feel put together, I love adding a subtle highlighting powder to my routine. A low maintenance lip tint can also do wonders and bring brightness to your face.

Last but not least, does it really feel like autumn without a new candle? Lighting a fresh candle and letting seasonal scents drift through the home always gets me excited for crisp fall mornings and the new season.
